Mobile games vet snaps up casual game development unit from Eidos.

Eidos has parted ways with casual games developer Gimme5games, with the studio pledging to carry on operating as an independent web and casual studio.

As part of the agreement, Eidos has sold back its rights to Gimme5games.com and DifferenceGames.com to original owner and mobile industry veteran Matt Spall, who will continue as Gimme5’s general manager.

Eidos bought mobile game developer Morpheme and its Gimme5 IP back in April 2007.
