Many consumers don't want mobile ads, claims report

Four out of ten of them, to be more precise, while only 20 per cent can recall seeing one

New research from Parks Associates has revealed continued consumer resistance to mobile ads and less than encouraging impact among those that are exposed to them.

Online Media Daily reports on the findings, which show 38 per cent of US mobile users don't want mobile ads, while 37 per cent are 'neutral' on the issue, 25 per cent are open to the possibility and 18 per cent don't mind seeing ads as long as they're relevant.

Only 19 per cent of mobile users remembered seeing a mobile ad in the last 12 months.

At 38 per cent movie trailers were the ad users were most likely most likely to respond to.
