T-Mobile has revamped its web’n’walk portal to give users a personalised home page.
Subscribers to the flat-rate mobile internet offering can now tailor their home page with a range of services such as Amazon, eBay, Google, Windows Live and Yahoo! The site has also been re-designed and there’s one click access to email, news tickers and other web sites.T Mobile is launching the new offering in Germany, UK and Austria from today and will expand to other T-Mobile markets in the future. The focal point of the new homepage is the personal area labelled “My Favorites” (Germany, Austria) or “My Stuff” (UK).
T-Mobile says it will continue to improve its personalisation services over the coming months, with social networking sites and blogging services in the pipeline.
Since web’n’walk the service was launched in summer 2005, over 1.5 million customers have signed up in Germany alone. About 80 percent of all the mobile phones currently being sold by T-Mobile with a fixed-term contract are web’n’walk-enabled.
