MediaCorp and operator M1 are trialling a DVB-H mobile TV service in Singapore.
The partners are working towards a summer commercial launch. It’s the latest in a series of collaborations between the two to offer video and TV content for mobile. These include one of the world’s first multi-episode mobisoaps.DVB-H is making some headway in the Asia Pac region, with many trials underway and a commercial service available in Vietnam and elsewhere. However, local platforms like one-seg in Japan and DMB in Korea are also well-established.
