Joins the board along with Versatel's Roland Steindorf.
Movies subscription service Lovefilm has announced that it's appointed two new non-executive directors: Kristian Segerstrale of Playfish and Roland Steindorf of Versatel.
Segerstrale is well-known to ME readers: he left his role as mobile games publisher Glu Mobile's European boss to launch social gaming startup Playfish - which has since been acquired by Electronic Arts for big bucks.
Meanwhile, Steindorf works for German ISP Versatel, and previously developed digital cable pay-TV platform Kabel Digital.
Mobile is one of the reasons both men have been appointed to Lovefilm's board.
"Together Kristian and Roland bring tremendous knowledge of the gaming, mobile and digital media sectors at a time when LOVEFiLM is rapidly advancing its digital services to televisions, PCs and handheld devices," says chairman Charles Hurassa.

Meanwhile, Segerstrale claims the company is "in the midst of a transformational growth opportunity in home entertainment through new distribution and consumption models similar to that taking place in computer games".
Lovefilm has yet to make a major move into mobile, but with rivals like Netflix making the most of the boom in apps and mobile media, it's only a matter of time.
