Logia unveils Android app distribution service

AppSnips bundles up billing, porting and distribution to Verizon, Vodafone, Telefonica, Turkcell and more.

Logia is a long-established content aggregator with connections to more than 50 operators worldwide.

It's clearly seen an opportunity to extend that expertise and those relationships into the Android space.

To that extend, AppSnips delivers:

* Distribution Service - upload your app once, and get it distributed to over 50 stores with localisation, graphics adaptation and more. Marketplaces include Vodafone (in 12 countries), Telefonica (in 4 countries and growing), Verizon, Turkcell, MTS Russia, all major carriers in India, Philippines and Israel.
* Compatibility checks and submissions/approval.
* In-app billing via a routing system
* SDK including a comprehensive backend system to manage payment, either through the operators' billing or via PayPal.
* Subscription payment solution
* Reporting tool

“As members of the Android development community, we experienced the difficulties of app distribution and monetisation firsthand,” said Kobi Marenko, CEO of Logia Group.

“Our data shows that Android is taking off and that the number of downloads from Android devices should exceed iOS during 2012. AppSnips is a unique win-win for both developers and carriers.
