LG readies new YouTube phone

LG is to design a YouTube phone that can upload, view and share clips.

The Korean vendor has signed an agreement with YouTube, the world's biggest video-sharing website, to create the handset, which will launched in Europe in the second half of this year.

The deal marks another alliance between LG and Google, which bought YouTube last year for $1.65 billion. LG began selling 3G phones with software pre-installed for using Google search, maps and Gmail last month.

More than 100 million people use YouTube on the web every day.
