And it'll then be installed on other Optimus-branded smartphones too.
LG has announced a big preload deal with Angry Birds developer Rovio Mobile, which will see its Angry Birds Rio Android game installed on the new Optimus 2X smartphone, and other Optimus-branded handsets.
The deal is kicking off in Canada, before rolling out across other handsets in the coming weeks and months.
"We’re thrilled to expose the millions of LG customers across the world to the fun and exciting world of Angry Birds Rio," says Rovio CEO Mikael Hed. "With more than 20 million downloads to date, Angry Birds Rio’s launch has been our most successful ever, and by pre-loading the game on high-performance LG Android smartphones worldwide, we look forward to even more success in the future."
That 20 million figure is a new milestone, by the way. In April, Rovio revealed that the movie game had been downloaded more than 10 million times in its first 10 days, buoyed by an exclusive deal on Android with Amazon's new Appstore.
Fox Digital Entertainment was also involved in the new preload deal, with the game being based on Fox's blockbuster animated movie Rio.
