LG officially unveils new Prada phone

It's very black. None more blacker.

This is the third collaboration between the two companies, who teamed up first in 2007 to release what was one of the world's first touchscreen phones – pre-dating the iPhone.

That handset sold over one million units,so LG will be hoping for similar success with the LG 3.0 Prada, also called LG Prada K2, which is built on Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) and comes with a dual-core processor, 4.3-inch NOVA display and Saffiano pattern Prada styling.

There's also 8GB onboard storage, 8 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED Flash, 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second and a 4.3-inch Gorilla Glass display, a 1GHz dual-core processor. It's just 8,5mm thick.

The other distinguishing feature is the monochromatic styling. The device is black, and the icons are in cool black and white too.

No release date yet, but Europe and Korea will be first in early 2012.
