LG launches Cookie touchcreen handset

Mmm... cookies. The new KP500 is an "affordable touchscreen for the masses".

LG has launched its KP500 handset, otherwise known as the Cookie, which comes complete with an Active Flash user interface and haptic feedback.

The Korean company says the Cookie "brings an affordable touchscreen phone to the masses".

It also comes with a slide out Qwerty keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, auto sync with Windows Media Player content and a range of motion-sensing games.

Jeremy Newing, head of LG mobile marketing at LG Electronics, said: "LG has stepped up to meet the demand of today’s ‘Touch Generation’ as more and more consumers look to experience the pleasure of using touchscreen phones. With the introduction of the LG Cookie we are continuing to build on our range of feature-rich yet affordable handsets”
