Optimus Pad LTE runs on Android Honeycomb.
LG has unleashed its first LTE-supported tablet as part of its Optimus Pad series. It succeeds the original Optimus Pad which was launched at MWC last year.
The firstborn device came with 3D but its younger sibling comes with 4G as the name suggests. The LTE model is powered by Android Honeycomb, has an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and is the "world's first" tablet to be compatible with an SD card up to 32GB.
Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG, said: "With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it's not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity.
"The combination of LG's LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move."
Additionally the device weighs 479g, is 9.34mm thick, has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a 1280x720 True HD IPS 8.9-inch display.
