That's according to a nine-week study conducted by Telenor Group.
35% of streams on Aspiro's WiMP music service in Norway are to mobile phones, according to research conducted by its partner Telenor Group.
The operator studied WiMP usage over a period of nine weeks, and found that 65% of streams were to the WiMP desktop client, 20% were to iPhones and 15% to Android handsets.
Researcher Beathe Due revealed the figures during a presentation at LeWeb '10 today.
The study also found that up to 78% of users share music with their friends by creating playlists, but that 93.6% of all playlists created on WiMP are for private usage, and not shared with anyone.
Users are also investigating a wide range of music. "The average user is listening to 92 different artists in the nine-week period," said Due.
