Amazon's ebook reader comes with 2GB of memory and will sell for $359.
The Kindle 2 ebook reader has been unveiled at an event in New York today.The much-anticipated 3G-3nabled device from Amazon now comes with 2GB of on board memory - enough to hold 1,500 books compared to the original's 200.
Amazon will begin selling Kindle 2 in the US only from February 24th for $359, but there are no details of international rollout at this point. The Kindle store offers 230,000 books for download.
In terms of other functionality, Kindle 2 also comes with four days of battery life and a text-to-speech function that can read books back to the users.
The measurements come in at 8x5.3x0.36 inches and 289g, with a 600x800 screen.
