Forgotten about file-sharing client Kazaa? So had we, but it's back with a new focus on mobile video.
Now owned by Brilliant Digital Entertainment, the company has issued a frankly puzzling press release titled 'Kazaa Movie Download Exclusive on Palm Pre - Watching Movies in Your Pocket'.
Actual details are scarce in the release, but it suggests that Kazaa users will be able to "upload and share their Standard and High Definition Videos direct with the Kazaa community", but also sideload them onto their smartphone - starting with the Palm Pre.
"With the invention of HD and the popularity of current social networking came a realization that the public could now interact with all forms of media in a social network environment for the purpose of business or pleasure," says an unattributed quote in the announcement.
It remains to be seen what Palm makes of Kazaa's plans - and indeed how the movie industry reacts.
