Sweden’s video specialist Kamera has signed mobile rights from Sportfive, which include qualifying matches for the Euro 2008 football championships.
The Sportfive portfolio also includes TV and marketing rights to more than 30 football associations and over 270 football clubs. Kamera specialises in made-for-mobile news reels such as SportCall and WowTV. It now distributes to over 25 mobile operators, in Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.Henrik Eklund, CEO of Kamera, said, “We are very excited to have signed this distribution deal. Sport is clearly a growth area for mobile and online users and we believe the quality content from SPORTFIVE combined with Kamera’s technical expertise and global understanding of the mobile market will prove a winning formula.’
