Justin Bieber's album gets the AR treatment

You better 'Believe' Blippar app users will be able to unlock exclusive content from the teen heartthrob.

For those not in the know, Canadian singer Justin Bieber is a YouTube phenomenon who shot to stardom on the streaming site a few years ago. His Twitter page alone boasts almost 25m followers.

And now, he's coming to mobile.

Mercury Music has enlisted the help of AR specialist ,Blippar, to augment the reality of Bieber's new album, Believe.

When Blippar app users point their device at a Believe album cover, poster or advert, they will gain access to track samples, a virtual Bieber photo booth, competitions and in-built social media to share all content – bar the music.

Users can also click through to iTunes to buy the album, which is likely to be the feature Mercury will be hoping takes off.
