Mobile music services will reach nearly $14.6bn by 2013, says Juniper Research.
The UK market watcher says that falling ringtone revenues will be offset by growth in full-track downloads, streaming and ringback tones. Its report adds that handset form factor, memory, and (in some markets) a reduction of data costs, major label participation and UGC are helping the sector towards significant revenues.Juniper has also announced the winners of its awards, with Apple winning the Future Mobile Gold Award for Mobile Music and the Silver Award going to Shazam.
