JumpTap is powering Spain’s first white-label search service with Telefónica.
The US company JumpTap has deployed contextual banner ads on the operator’s home page and throughout the content verticals on its movistar emoción portal. It is also delivering sponsored search links within the games, images and music channels.Jumptap has only just publicly confirmed the deal, which has been active for a few months. It claims Telefónica’s entire display advertising inventory is sold out. Advertisers include Sony Ericsson, Warner Music, Gameloft, Vivendi Games Mobile, Coca-Cola, Buongiorno, Terra, Barclays Bank, PrisaCom and BMW.
Susana Rodriguez, director of online and m-commerce at Telefónica, said: “Mobile advertising is still in its infancy, yet major brands are already recognising the huge potential offered by this new medium (and that) no other channel comes close in terms of combining audience reach with the ability to interact on a personal level with targeted subscribers.”
Telefonica is the number one operator in market share in Spain, and every month over four million people access movistar emoción.
