Lee Fenton becomes the latest high-profile exec to depart the News Corp-owned mobile content giant.
ME understands Lee Fenton has left his position as chief operator officer at Jamba, the Germany-based D2C mobile content provider.According to sources, Fenton left of his own accord, having overseen the instalment of CEO Mauro Montanaro, who was appointed in January following the departures of former CEO Lucy Hood and chief sales officer Markus Berger-de León last October.
Fenton was thought of by many as the natural replacement for Hood as Jamba's CEO, having spearheaded initiatives like The Yellow Plan offering of The Simpsons content.
He joined Jamba in February 2007 from Vodafone Group, where he held a variety of global management positions.
A statement is expected from Jamster later today.
