Mobile social games specialist expands coverage of its platform

Itsmy says its Mobile Game Engine now supports browser games that can run across any device with internet access.

The Germany-based company says that means multiplayer titles that will see iPhones vs PSPs vs PCs vs BlackBerrys vs Nokias vs Android vs netbooks, etc.

Gofresh-owned Itsmy is currently in beta with the integration of games from third party developers and says it will soon release its own mobile web gaming SDK.

Last month, Itsmy added the ability for its members to receive cross- and in-game notifications whenever a friend starts playing a game in the Itsmy world.

Antonio Vince Staybl, CEO of Itsmy, said: “In 2011 we will see an interesting battle: Apps vs. Browsers. I personally think 2011 will be the year of online gaming on mobile devices without downloading or updating anything. We have learned from our users that people don’t care about technical requirements and they love to play games with their phone all day long.”
