New service allows users to send mobile web messages with one click from their handset's phonebook.
Mobile social network itsmy.com has launched a free-of-charge mobile web messenger service that requires no application download.The service combines key features from email, SMS and instant messaging to connect users via the mobile web.
A survey amongst beta users found that they felt safer due to the lack of spam and restricted access, with 45 per cent of them checking their inbox more than seven times a day.
Itsmy.com chief operations officer Sabine Irrgang said: “This is not another ‘works only on iPhones’ application. We already connect over 3,500 different handset- and browser versions via mobile internet. Easy and device independent, this is what the market needs to bring people to mobile internet."
