iShoot developer releases second iPhone game

More shooting.

Ethan Nicholas was one of the first independent iPhone developers to strike it rich on Apple's App Store, with his iShoot game. Now he's released his second.

It's more shooting, but this time with a brand attached. Kim Rhode's Outdoor Shooting features two-time Olympic gold medallist Kim Rhode.

The game is also more ambitious than iShoot, taking the leap into free-roaming 3D. Players hunt a range of fearsome animals armed with hunting rifles and, er, AK-47s and rocket launchers.

We're taking a wild guess that this isn't allowed in the real-world US hunting scene.

It will be interesting to see if the game is a big hit. Nicholas famously earned more than $600,000 in one month from iShoot, which he developed in his spare time. Having given up his day job, he'll be hoping for similar success second time round.
