Telecgsm and Geolife UK confirm turn-by-turn mobile navigation app for African powerhouse.

Telecgsm and Geolife UK confirm first turn-by-turn mobile navigation app for African powerhouse.

Their Navmii product transforms the iPhone into a voice and visual guided navigation system with detailed maps of Nigeria, covering over 30 cities.

Users can search for an address by city, street or junction with Navmii’s address input, or select a point on a map.  Navmii then calculates the best route to the destination.

Peter Atalla, CEO of Navmii, said: “Nigeria is a country that has fully embraced mobile phones and Navmii for the iPhone is a great opportunity to expand the capability of the mobile handset into navigation and location services."

Navmii is available on Nokia and Windows Mobile too. It costs $84.99 on iPhone.
