Video calling coming to iPhone and 3G coming to MacBook. Or so they say.
Quite a bit going on in the world of Apple's alleged mobile ambitions, with video calling maybe on the way to iPhone and 3G connectivity for MacBook. In the first instance, InformationWeek delved deep into Apple's patent filings and found references to video conferencing with regard to third-gen iPhone functionality.
Meanwhile, AT&T emerging devices exec Glenn Lurie didn't deny in an interview that the operator at some point in the future might offer susbsidised MacBook, with inference being that a 3G-enabled version is on the cards.
Of course, we've heard those rumours before. At the end of the day both are entirely plausible given they represent par for the functionality course elsewhere in the mobile/laptop industries.
