No extra sensors needed for latest fitness tracking application.
Nike has launched the latest version of its Nike+ sports tracker service for iPhone - this time as a downloadable app.
Nike+ GPS lets people track their pace, distance and route using a combination of the iPhone's GPS and accelerometer sensor.
Routes are tracked on Google Maps, with data uploaded to the Nike+ community.
Users can get voice feedback while they run, and activate 'PowerSongs' to keep their motivation up en-route.
The application works on iPod touch devices too, albeit without the mapping aspects.
