The credibility of Apple’s iPhone as a serious contender in the modern platform market has been given a big boost with the news that over 6,000 games are now available for the system.The number, which is based on research from Mobclix, also points to App Store as a hugely important publishing route for video games companies.
Last week both Sony and Nintendo hit back at suggestions that the iPhone and iPod touch were eating into their dominance of the handheld games market.
