Yep, that's right, $600,000 in royalties during one month.
Proving that it is possible for a lone developer to make a decent living out of the Apple App Store, the creator of popular game iShoot has revealed that the success of his title earned him $600,000 in a single month.Speaking to Wired, Ethan Nicholas explained that he quit his day job after iShoot earned him $37,000 on the day it rose to number one in the App Store charts.
“I'm not going to be a millionaire in the next month, but I'd be shocked if it didn't happen at the end of the year,” he stated. “If it weren't for taxes I would be a millionaire right now.”
iShoot initially did little upon its arrival on the App Store in October. However, once Nicholas coded a free demo version, which included an ad for the full $3 version of the game, users subsequently went on to download the title 2.4m times.
