Apple's touchscreen devices now feature on British Airways flights from London to New York for business-class flyers.

The service runs twice a day offering users over 70 hours of films, TV programmes and games.

Richard D’Cruze, British Airways’ inflight entertainment and technology manager, said: "iPad’s give our customers an incredibly user-friendly way of enjoying our in-flight entertainment service on these very special flights.

"As an airline known for our innovation and we will continue to invest in new technology, aircraft and products to give our customers the best experience in the sky."

WIth a statement like that, it may only be a matter of time until the airline adds augmented reality and 3D to its safety demonstrations.
