Apple obsessives disappointed by the lack of iPhone 5 (though doubtless still queuing for iPhoen 4S) will be delighted by this snippet.
AllThingsD has quoted Susquehanna's Jeff Fidacaro as suggesting Apple is scaling up its iPad production run in Q4.
He says the schedule has leapt from 11m/13m to 12m/14m units due in part to an early iPad 3 production run.
“Since our last month supply chain checks, we are now seeing 600,000 to 1 million iPad 3 builds showing up on the plan for the fourth quarter of calendar 2011,” Fidacaro told AllThingsD.
“Our previous estimate did not include any iPad 3s.”

He believes a March 2012 launch (a year since iPad2) is possible.
