Set to launch across 16 African nations for MTV Africa Music Awards.
VAS specialist Inmobia has installed local servers in each of the 16 Airtel markets in Africa.
These handle all Airtel value-added-services, including now the aggregation of voting and trivia SMS services in connection with the MTV awards.
Airtel is the new brand name for the 16 Zain operations across Africa, which were acquired by Bharti airtel in June 2010.
It has African operations in: Burkina Faso, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Madagascar, Niger, Nigeria, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
