Shrikant Latkar will get a decent budget to work with; InMobi bagged a $200m credit line from Softbank last year.
InMobi describes itself as the largest independent mobile advertising network, and it's certainly been a remarkable rise since the firm re-branded from mKhoj and set about expanding outside its native India. Today, it confirms a key appointment, with Latkar arriving as VP of global marketing with a remit to 'align the marketing strategy and brand positioning to embrace a new hyper-growth phase in the rapidly evolving mobile advertising industry.' Shrikant has 18 years of experience in the technology industry, with stints at Juniper Networks, Avaya, Lucent Technologies and, most recently, Aricent Group. Naveen Tewari, CEO of InMobi said: “We are very focused on creating global synergies across our products and solutions, and Shrikant’s appointment is central in helping us to achieve this. "With his vast experience in successfully bringing products to market and effectively communicating them, Shrikant is the ideal person to help us achieve our goals and create a cohesive offering on a global scale.”Advertisement
