Tablets, netbooks and notebooks in high demand among students.

Mobile devices are playing an increasingly important role in the world of education, after a survey revealed that two-thirds of students would like to see the incorporation of technology ramped up within their studies.

Many students are now spending more of their personal finances on technology to assist with their studies. A recent study in the spring of 2012 showed that participating students planned to spend 227 per cent more on technology in the 2012-13 school year than they did previous year.

Meanwhile, another 2012 study revealed that college-age students use at least three technological devices daily and that most students don’t go more than an hour without using at least one of those devices.

It was also reported last week that growing numbers of US teens are using smartphones to do their homework.

Take a look at the infographic from Online-Education.net below for a detailed look at the way students incorporate technology into their studies.
