From zero to a billion users in 17 months.
Creative photo sharing app Instagram has gone from obscurity to worldwide fame in recent months, and was famously bought for $1 billion by Facebook on Monday.
It was snapped up on the strength of 30 million iPhone downloads, and five million Android installs in just six days.
Although some users barked outrage at the transaction with Facebook, it seems pretty clear that the adoption won't slow down any time soon.
