Mobile TV penetration lagging behind in the US at only 35 per cent.
UK mobile subscribers in the UK are around twice as likely to watch mobile TV via their phone as those in the US, according to a new survey from QuickPlay Media.
The study compares the mobile TV viewing habits of mobile consumers in the UK with those across the pond, uncovering some intriguing behavioural patterns along the way.
Contrary to what many of us Brits might believe, the attention span of TV audiences in the US actually extends beyond that of the average UK viewer, at least when it comes to mobile TV. The survey shows that 79 per cent of UK viewers will remain engaged with mobile TV for more than 30 minutes, as opposed to 91 per cent in the US.
The survey also lifts the lid on where people tend to watch mobile TV the most, whilst also analysing the kind of TV in which we prefer indulge.
