Indonesian newspaper group launches 50 apps with Polar

Kompas teams with fragmentation-busting Polar to target users of iOS, BlackBerry, Android, Windows and Nokia devices.

The apps are powered by Polar Mobile¹s SMART Platform, which enables developers and brands to 'develop once and run anywhere'. So far, the project has delivered €130m ads served to-date, €8m page views and month and 100,000 active users.

Edi Taslim, Director of Kompas.com, said: "We want to provide Kompas¹ content to as many devices as our audiences want, regardless of brand or operating system.

"Polar Mobile allows us to bring 50 apps to market quickly and with high quality."

Another nice deal for the expanding Polar, which has clients in 11 countries, and recently opened a new office in Dubai with plans to launch apps for 100 media companies in the Middle East region.
