India's mobile subscriber base jumped by a record 15.41 million in January.
The new recruits, bring the total for the country to 362.3 million, up from 233.63 million at the end of January 2008. The monthly rise shatters the previous record of 10.8 million, set in December, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).Among the operators, Reliance added five million subscribers, and Bharti Airtel added 2.7 million.
