India-based IMImobile has been relatively quiet since the big merger with WIN that made it one of the biggest content and billing specialists in the EMEA region.
With this purchase it should deepen its iPhone/iPad and Android app capabilities. And it plans to broaden the availability of Skinkers’ products by incorporating them into its DaVinci Evolved Service platform.
This will enable the apps to be launched in interactive TV, and enriched with more m-commerce options and customer care.
Vishwanath Alluri, chairman of IMImobile, said: “After the acquisition of WIN PLC in 2010, this is another important step for IMImobile as we drive our strategy of an open global mobile market for new applications and services.”
