iFart's $1m sale raises a stink on eBay

Creator wants to 'pass the baton' for bottom-burping iPhone app IP.

Want to buy iFart? The novelty iPhone app costs $0.99 on the App Store. Want to buy the intellectual property and brand behind iFart? That'll be a cool million dollars, thanks.

Yes, iFart creator Joel Comm is flogging his smelly creation, which is one of the biggest selling iPhone apps ever - 700,000 sales and counting according to Comm.

He's put it up for sale on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $1 million, although this morning, bids had reached just over $55,000. The sale includes the proprietary in-app messaging technology developed for iFart, as well as its related web and social media presences.

"I am now focusing on my latest agency offering, IMDirect.com, and it is time to pass the baton to someone who wishes to own iFart and take it to the next level," writes Comm in the eBay listing.

"The perfect buyer is out there. You know who you are. You see this auction and you think, I want to own iFart. I must have it. It will be mine."
