Hudson wraps a rap deal

Hudson Entertainment has announced an exclusive deal with hip-hop label Good Hands Records.

The agreement gives Hudson rights to distribute ringtones, ringbacks, full-length tracks and videos from the label's artists. Forthcoming highlights from the Good Hands slate include Killa Priest's The Offering, Camp Lo's Black Hollywood and others.

It’s another mobile music deal for a company more usually associated with gaming. Hudson, the North American publishing arm of Japan’s Hudson Soft, recently inked similar deals with Death Row Records, Gangsta Advisory Recordingz, and TVT Records.

"This deal with Good Hands is yet another example of Hudson's ever-expanding hip-hop catalogue for mobile phones," said John Greiner, president and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. "We're thrilled to be bringing these amazing artists to a new medium and look forward to working with Good Hands to do so."
