Huawei to distribute Appitalism

Chinese telco giant takes indie app store to Middle Eastern operators.

The agreement with Huawei gives the Chinese firm access and distribution rights to the Appitalism.com library of apps, songs, books, games and videos.

It's another sweet deal for Mobile Stream's app store, which was revealed last month to be the largest in the world by products offered.

A report by Netsize said Appitalism has 719,715 products, compared with 392,871 for iTunes.

“Our partnership with Huawei will ensure that our app catalogue is placed with Asia’s most prominent mobile operators in a market that is enthusiastic about smartphones, apps and portable devices,” said Simon Buckingham, CEO of Mobile Streams.

“Thanks to Huawei we also have strong distribution into the Middle East which was not previously part of our network.”
