Big screen handset is first to feature HTC Watch video service.
The Taiwanese firm has been in the ascendant ever since it embraced Android, making the first ever device for that platform in 2008, the Dream.
Last week its market cap surpassed Nokia's and this week it's financials showed a quarterly profit of $511.
The phones that built this success were the Desire, Legend and Wildfire.
And now HTC has kept up the momentum with the Sensation, which comes with aluminum unibody construction contoured 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera and 1.2-gigahertz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
It also showcases the latest HTC Sense UI, with 'active lockscreen' that shows social updates, photos, weather and so on. It also lets users jump to the most used features, like making a phone call or sending text.

Then there's HTC Watch, a video service delivering movies and TV shows to rent or buy. This is an indication of HTC's careful move into the content and services space, after so many years of being a hardware firm and no more.
It's also a product of the recently acquired video specialist, Saffron Digital.
The HTC Sensation will be available first through Vodafone across major European market, and in Asian markets in Q2 2011.
