HTC reveals new Tattoo Android handset

Company's second phone with Sense UI heading to Europe in October.

HTC has taken the wrappers off its latest Android handset, the Tattoo. It's the second phone to feature the company's new Sense user interface, which sits on top of Google's Android OS.

The theme appears to be customisation, including the phone itself via a selection of interchangeable covers. And you thought phone fascias died out years ago...

Like all Android handsets, Google's suite of apps is tightly integrated, including Google Maps, search and Gmail. Meanwhile, it'll also give access to the Android Market app store.

A 3.2-megapixel camera and 3.5mm headphone socket - lacking from HTC's original G1 handset - will also come in handy for users.

No operator deal has been announced for the Tattoo, but HTC says it will launch in Europe first this October, before going on sale elsewhere in the world.
