Desire owners across Europe can now get their hands on FroYo
HTC will begin rolling out the Android 2.2 (FroYo) OS update to owners of its Desire handset across Europe this weekend.
User will be notified that the over-the-air update is available to download when their phone automatically checks for software updates, though the company advises use of wi-fi for this due to the file sizes involved.
The update will initially be available to unlocked Desire's, with operator-specific versions available in 'several weeks' time' once testing has been completed.
In addition to the latest version of HTC's Sense UI, the Android 2.2 update will provide 720p video capture, HTC’s App Share widget, HTC Caller ID and an improved multi-language keyboard.
It will also allow Desire users to sync their music with iTunes.
