Company CFO assures market that it will begin shipping devices powered by Google's OS in Q4.
High Tech Computer (HTC) has used its earnings presentation to assure everyone who was in a panicky state that it would be shipping Android handsets in 4Q08 as planned.Recent weeks have seen doubts raised about whether the handsets would be available in time, specifically with regard to their proposed launch by T-Mobile USA.
HTC also found time to point out that its Touch Diamond iPhone rival has now been rolled out by 50 operators in 30 countries.
The company says it is not feeling the economic pinch and expects reveue to rise by 30 per cent in 3Q08, driven by the Diamond handsets.
