Another layer added to the Spark Android interface.

Spark was launched in December to give Android users an alternative to the incumbent homescreen on a device and thereby quicker access to favourite apps, utilities, contacts and sites.

It comes pre-loaded with various options, and now with today's announcement that includes sports.

The features include personalised feeds, news provided by CBS, the ability to share and comment on the status of a game in progress and updates via Facebook, Twitter or SMS. 

The Spark Sports Module will provide US users with updates on:
 
            •            NFL
            •            MLB
            •            NBA
            •            NHL
            •            NCAA (Basketball & Football) 

For international users, the featured sports will include:

            •            European Football
            •            Cricket

HipLogic CEO Mark Anderson said: “Spark’s ability to deliver sports scores in real-time to your phonetop means that fans everywhere will be able to follow every point, goal and score across multiple sports leagues without having to open a web browser or app.”
