Higginson back at Monstermob

Martin Higginson has been brought back into Monstermob by new owner Zed as a non-executive board member.

The surprise appointment followed the resignations of non-executive chairman Hans Snook and CEO Niccolo De Masi on Friday in light of Zed's purchase of a 52 per cent stake in Monstermob for £34 million.

Higginson was controversially ousted as Monstermob CEO in June last year as the company struggled in the face of difficult market conditions, particularly in China.

He is currently CEO at multi-platform gaming/gambling specialist NetPlay TV (formerly Stream), which has been expanding aggressively. Today the company announced its acquisition of Abstract Games for £4 million.

Zed CEO Javier Perez Dolset is acting as Monstermob's interim CEO until a suitable replacement is found.
