HandyGames celebrates 10th birthday

Enduring mobile games publisher passes landmark anniversary, looks to expand

Germany's HandyGames has just notched up ten years in the mobile games development and publishing business.

The anniversary marks it out as one of the few independent companies to have emerged unscathed from the earliest days of WAP and the hellish competitiveness of getting Java onto the operator decks, to a point where it's now working on iPhone and Android titles.

HandyGames was founded in April 2000 by Markus Kassulke, Christopher Kassulke and Udo Bausewein. Today it has more than 35 employees and says it plans to expand further this year.

The company has offices in Giebelstadt, Germany and in Bucharest, Romania.
