Former Linden Lab exec Judy Wade heading up mobile games publisher
Hands-On Mobile has appointed Judy Wade as its new president and CEO, effective immediately.
Wade joins from Linden Lab, creator of the virtual world Second Life, where she served as Vice President of Strategy and Emerging Business.
Hands-On Mobile has been without a CEO since Niccolo Di Masi left to take up the reigns at rival Glu Mobile back in January.
Wade said: “Hands-On Mobile, with its blue chip entertainment brands and track record for developing and publishing creative and innovative mobile games, has a tremendous opportunity to take both mobile and social gaming to the next level.
"From the user’s perspective, as the distinction between social and mobile is blurring, our focus moving forward will be on creating engaging games and delivering enhanced community experiences regardless of the platform.”
