Hands-On Mobile will use Netsizes MMS solution to power its Yatta user-generated video service.
Yatta lets consumers upload, share and watch videos, earning cash for the clips they contribute. The Netsize MMS solution enables users to upload their clips simply by inputting an MMS short code.Visitors to the Yatta Video service can download the clip for a small fee of between €0,50 and €1,00 with a percentage of the download revenue for a given clip paid back to the original contributor.
The Yatta Video service is currently available in France, on the SFR mobile network. Plans are to roll out the service across additional European countries in the coming months.
Greg Robinson, general manager EMEA for Hands-On Mobile, said: “The MMS upload is an integral part of Yatta because it makes it easy for the community's budding directors to share their clips with the wider community. Since launching the service, we have witnessed fantastic growth in the number of videos users submit. Moreover, the Netsize MMS solution enables us to deploy the service quickly in France and execute our expansion plans across Europe.”
