YesVideo transfers personal videos from VHS, 8mm film, Hi-8 and more to digital formats.
Michael Chang and Andy Choi are now CEO and CTO respectively, and have pledged to deepen relationships with national retailers, increase consumer awareness and sales, and build out new products to help people share their personal video and photo memories in the cloud.
Here's how YesVideo works: consumers mail their video to one of 34,000 retail partner locations in the US.YesVideo then transfers the content and hosts in on the cloud, from where customers can store, view, edit and share through email or social media.
The originals are then shipped back to the consumer. The entire process takes less than three weeks.
“We estimate that there are hundreds of billions of personal video moments locked up on old vintage media just waiting to be discovered,” said Choi.
“Our technical challenge is to make these invaluable memories available on mobile, online, and through connected televisions. Our products are delighting our customers by allowing them to unlock, edit, and share their most precious memories.”
